Wednesday in Upper Macungie: Girls Play the Garter Bowl at Parkland
The weekly bingo games will be played at the Fogelsville Volunteer Fire Co. at 6:45 p.m. and the Upper Macungie Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 16 is expected to feature cloudy skies and high temperatures near 71 degrees with a 30 percent chance of rain, according to the National Weather Service forecast.Â
Here is what you need to know in and around Upper Macungie Township:
- Parkland High School's annual Garter Bowl powder puff flag football game will take place at Orefield Middle School at Wednesday 7 p.m., as part of Homecoming Week festivities. The game features Parkland High School girls squaring off in flag football games. The rain date is Thursday.
- The Fogelsville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary will host bingo at the firehouse, located at 7850 Lime Street in Fogelsville, on Wednesday at 6:45 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the kitchen begins serving food at 5:45 p.m. For more information, call 610-395-5479.
- The Upper Macungie Planning Commission will meet Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the township meeting room, located at 8330 Schantz Road in Breinigsville.
A full slate of activities including a scarecrow contest, parade, pet costume contest, K-9 acts, trick contests are scheduled and a plethora of food and drink will highlight Upper Macungie Township's first annual Barktoberfest this Saturday at township's dog park from noon to 3 p.m. The dog park is located at Upper Macungie Park on Route 100 in Fogelsville. For a full list of activities, click here.
