Tuesday in Upper Macungie: Soccer Rivalry and Library Cards

The Parkland School Board meets Tuesday night and it's your last chance to see the Budweiser Clydesdales in the Lehigh Valley.

Tuesday, Sept. 17 is expected to feature sunny skies with temperatures in the high 60s, according to the National Weather Service forecast. 

Here's is what you need to know Tuesday in and around Upper Macungie Township:

  • September is Library Card Month at the Parkland Community Library. The library, located at 4422 Walbert Ave. in South Whitehall, is open Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Get your library card Tuesday.
  • The Parkland Board of Education will hold a workshop meeting Tuesday at 7 p.m., followed by its regular meeting at 8 p.m. at the school district's administration building, located at 1210 Springhouse Road in South Whitehall.
  • The Parkland boys and girls cross country teams host Liberty and Freedom in a Lehigh Valley Conference meet Tuesday at 4 p.m.
  • The Parkland varsity girls soccer team hosts a night game with Lehigh Valley Conference rival Emmaus Tuesday at 7 p.m.
  • The Fibromyalgia Support Group of the Lehigh Valley will meet Tuesday at the Grace United Church, located at 623 Cleveland Street in Allentown. For more information, call 610-797-7606.
  • Your last chance to see the Budweiser Clydesdales in the Lehigh Valley is Tuesday at the Gildan Triple-A Championship Game Tailgate Party at 5 p.m., and the Gildan Triple-A Championship Game at 6:30 p.m., both at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown.
  • The Sands Bethlehem's Molten Lounge features a performance by The Flaming Caucasians from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
