Eleanor Roosevelt is Topic of Women of Willow Grove Meeting

A networking session will be held at 11:30 a.m. before featured speaker Ann Elkins gives her presentation.

Ann Elkins, author of "The Arc of Eleanor Roosevelt’s Journey" will be the featured speaker at the April 9 meeting of the Women of Willow Grove.

Elkins will discuss Roosevelt’s life of soul searching and self discovery. This detailed review of Eleanor’s journey will provide insight for other people’s lives, as she pushed the boundaries of what was then expected of women. Her desire to live out her own life on her terms is what encourages women to do the same today.

The luncheon will be held at the Giant Superfood Store, 315 York Road. The event will start with networking from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

Fee: $15 prepaid for Chamber members; $20 for non-members or walk-ins.

Elkins has experience has a college instructor, counselor and director of a family support center. She's lived in Korea, England and Germany. She studies at the University of Cambridge and earned her master’s degree from Boston University.
