Route 611 Lanes To Be Shut Down In Upper Moreland Next Week

Additional traffic is coming to the Route 611 area next week.

UPPER MORELAND, PA — Route 611 will be restricted in Plymouth and Upper Moreland townships next week for line striping and barrier installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced this week.

Work will begin on Tuesday, Aug. 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and then from 6 p.m. overnight to 6 a.m. It will continue on Wednesday, Aug. 23 on the same schedule.

Lane closures are scheduled on Germantown Pike between Plymouth Road and Launfall Road in Plymouth on Tuesday, and between Home Depot Drive and Mill Road on Route 611 in Upper Moreland on Wednesday.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the areas.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission will complete the work under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit, officials said.
