Hatboro Man Uses Art To Recover From Brain Injury: Report

Half of his skull had to be removed to relieve pressure after a bus accident. But today, his art is helping him heal.

A former Hatboro-Horsham High School student who underwent brain surgery after being injured in a car crash is using art to help his recovery, The Intelligencer reports.

Johnny Haus, now 31, was in a coma for two months after the February 2002 accident, according to the report.

Half of his skull had to be removed, and his physical and mental abilities were damaged, the report states.

However, he is now finding restorative and healing powers in his art, according to the story.

Some of his work will even be on display at the Scatter Joy Center for the Arts in Horsham through Aug. 18 on 305 Horsham Road, the story states.
