Horsham Man To Stand Trial For Murder Of Elderly Man

A Horsham man will stand trial in Montgomery County Court for the stabbing death of an elderly Upper Moreland Man.
Jeffrey W. Anderson, 20, of the 300 block of Dresher Road, is accused of stabbing and killing 72-year-old William Neil on March 4. Neil of the Hatboro section of Upper Moreland, died from multiple stab wounds.
District Judge PauL Leo ruled on March 26 that there was enough evidence to move forward for a trial in county court. Anderson will remain in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility without bail.

Anderson is charged with first-degree murder.
According to police, they responded to a report of a stabbing and detained Anderson, who was attempting to leave the scene in Neil’s Cadillac Escalade. Anderson’s mother claimed her son stabbed Neil because he tried to sexually assault him in a published report in the Intelligencer.
