It's the First Weekend of Spring! Here are 5 Things to Do in Montgomery County

It might be snowing Friday, but temperatures will warm up and there is plenty to do in the area during this first weekend of spring.

Spring may be getting off to a wintry start but consistently warmer days are around the corner.

Here are five things to do in Montgomery County to celebrate the start of spring:

Science Night

The Greater Norristown Police Athletic League will hold its annual Jim McCrudden Science Night on Friday at the GNPAL Center from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Science topics to be covered include chemical reactions, forensics, aerodynamics and more. Plus, local law enforcement will be displaying their motorcycles for the kids to look at. The event is free. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Click here for details.

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs

The Ambler Theater will screen “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs” during a matinee Saturday at 10:30 a.m. The movie is free for theater members and $4 for the public. Click here for details.

Prom Dress Sale

A prom dress sale to benefit Hatboro-Horsham High School 2015 Post Prom is underway at Scatter Joy Center for the Arts. The sale includes gently-used gowns and accessories for $10 to $20 (cash only). The sale will be held: Friday, March 20 from 3-7 pm; Saturday, March 21 from 12-5 pm and Sunday, March 22 from 12-5 pm. Scatter Joy Center for the Arts is located at 305 Horsham Road, Horsham.

Les Liaisons Dangereuses

The Village Players of Hatboro will present “Les Liaisons Dangereuses” Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Showtimes are 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Click here for tickets and information.

Caring Easter Bunny

On Sunday, the King of Prussia Mall will host the Caring Bunny from 9 to 10:30 a.m. The event is held in the mall’s Nordstrom Court.
