The Rose Group, a local franchisee of Applebee's Neighborhood Grill &amp; Bar and Corner Bakery Cafe restaurants, announced this week that its stores have raised more than $770,000 for various charities in the first half of 2014.The Applebee's restaurant in Montgomeryville was the number three fundraiser, generating nearly $20,000. The Newtown Applebee's raised more than $18,200, making it the number five fundraiser. Horsham's Corner Bakery Cafe raised $6,312. Newtown's Corner Bakery Café raised more than $5,800.Money was raised through store events. The funds support a variety of charitable organizations, including Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, which aims to fight childhood cancer."Fundraising and charitable giving have always been a cultural staple at The Rose Group," said Jeff Warden, president and CEO of The Rose Group.
