Local Restaurants Collaborate to Raise More than $770K for Charity
Applebee's and Corner Bakery Cafe restaurants in Bucks and Montgomery counties have helped to raise more than $770,000 for charity.

The Rose Group, a local franchisee of Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar and Corner Bakery Cafe restaurants, announced this week that its stores have raised more than $770,000 for various charities in the first half of 2014.
The Applebee’s restaurant in Montgomeryville was the number three fundraiser, generating nearly $20,000. The Newtown Applebee’s raised more than $18,200, making it the number five fundraiser. Horsham’s Corner Bakery Cafe raised $6,312. Newtown’s Corner Bakery Café raised more than $5,800.
Money was raised through store events. The funds support a variety of charitable organizations, including Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, which aims to fight childhood cancer.

“Fundraising and charitable giving have always been a cultural staple at The Rose Group,” said Jeff Warden, president and CEO of The Rose Group. “We are incredibly impressed and humbled by the vigor our local stores, and each individual employee, have put into fundraising efforts for the first half of 2014. It speaks to their character, and we are proud to have them as part of our team.”
The Rose Group is headquartered in Newtown.
