A new Lexus facility has opened its doors in Willow Grove.

WILLOW GROVE, PA — A new Lexus facility has opened its doors in Willow Grove.

Thompson Lexis celebrated their grand opening on June 22.

“Back in 1985, someone asked me if I wanted Lexus,” said Jack Thompson, President of The Thompson Organization, “I said, ‘Sure, what’s that?’ We were the first in the country to be awarded a Lexus dealership. It has been great to watch the brand grow over the years.”

The event on Thursday celebrated the architects, engineers, contractors, and staff members who worked to create the brand new facility. According to Thompson:

"The facility is environmentally-conscious and energy-efficient as well. The exterior of the dealership has the most innovative outdoor LED lighting in the Philadelphia area. Dimmable LED technology and scheduling controls minimize the impact on local power grids. Recycled and filtered water from the car wash is reused throughout the system. Used engine oil is collected from repairs to heat the service area. Parking lots utilize Permeable Pavement, helping to reduce environmental impact by allowing movement of stormwater through the surface."
