PA Health Officials Giving Out Free Naloxone Kits In Willow Grove

WILLOW GROVE, PA — In an ongoing effort to combat opioid overdoses, the Pennsylvania Department of Health is launching a statewide initiative to distribute the overdose-reversal medication naloxone.

Naloxone kits will be distributed for free at 95 locations, including at the Willow Grove Health Center, as part of "Get Help Now Week."

The distribution will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, and Wednesday, Sept. 25. The Center is located on 102 York Road.

There are a few other Montgomery County locations participating. Check out the map below for a full list of locations where naloxone will be available:

The training video below explains what naloxone is, what it can be used for, and how to use both the intranasal form and the auto-injector form.

To receive a certificate of completion for naloxone training, you must watch the video on TRAIN PA. You will not receive a certificate for watching on this page or on YouTube.

In Pennsylvania, the standing order signed by Secretary of Health Rachel Levine allows anyone to get naloxone without a prescription. Completing the training on TRAIN PA and printing a certificate of completion will protect you legally as a Good Samaritan trying to help someone in need.
