Upper Moreland Cosmetology Student Learns from an Expert
Local students were treated to hear industry expert Geno Stampora speak on making it in the cosmetology field.

Earlier this week students at the Eastern Center for Arts and Technology got the chance to learn from an expert.
Students in the Cosmetology program, including one from Upper Moreland High School, got to hear Geno Stampora speak and lend his expert advise on being a beauty professional.
Stampora is a motivational speaker, and a role model and coach who has given many presentations to up-and-coming students who want to pursue a career in the industry.

“This was a great opportunity for our students to hear from a very successful professional in the field, who started from exactly where they are today, learning all aspects of the field in their Cosmetology program and gaining hours in order to take their Pennsylvania State Boards for Cosmetology,” said Amy Mednick, EASTERN Cosmetology Instructor.”
EASTERN instructors Wendy Leyden and Mednick accompanied 50 of their junior and senior Cosmetology students to see Stampora.

Stampora owns a collection of successful salons, but he began his career working behind the chair in a salon and gradually moved up to a managerial position. He has also owned two beauty academies, where he interacted with and instructed his students. Stampora has been a distributor and sales consultant to salons, a major platform artist, and has shared the stage with the world’s greatest artists.
