Upper Moreland Gets $106K In State Funds To Improve Intersection
Upper Moreland will receive a $106K grant from the state to improve the Blair Mill Road and Horsham Road intersection.

UPPER MORELAND, PA — Good news for motorists in the Upper Moreland area. The township will receive a $106,500 grant from the state to improve the Blair Mill Road and Horsham Road intersection.
It's part of more than $15 million in grants disbursed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportations as part of their Automated Red Light Enforcement Funding. A total of 38 municipalities statewide were funded.
“This program helps communities across the state make investments in traffic flow and safety,” Governor Wolf said in a statement. “These improvements complement the many road, bridge, and multimodal projects happening in Pennsylvania.”

In Upper Moreland, the money will update pedestrian and traffic signals, while adding radar dilemma zone detection, video detection, emergency preemption, and more.
Nearby, projects were also funded in Upper Dublin and Abington.
