Upper Moreland Police Say Man Tried To Lure Kids Into His Car

Police said the man was driving a white Toyota Prius.

UPPER MORELAND, PA — Police in Upper Moreland are on the lookout for a man they say tried to lure two girls into his car on Tuesday.

In a news release, police said the man was driving on York Road near Summit Avenue just after 5 p.m. on Tuesday when he approached two girls walking on the sidewalk.

Police said the man tried repeatedly to persuade the girls to get into his car for a "free Uber ride," staying long enough to cause traffic to back up on York Road.

The man was driving a white Toyota Prius with tinted windows. Police described the driver as a white man in his 30s with short black or brown hair, a beard and a mustache.
