Willow Grove COVID-19 Testing Site Closing; New Location To Open

The new location will have better parking, easier access, and more room to ensure social distancing, officials said.

WILLOW GROVE, PA — The Montgomery County community coronavirus testing site in Willow Grove is closing, and a new location is opening up nearby, officials announced.

The site at the County Office of Public Health, on 102 N. York Road, will shut down on Friday, Aug. 14.

A new location is set to open on Monday, Aug. 17 at the First Baptist Church at Crestmont, located on 1678 Fairview Avenue.

The church has better parking, easier access, and more room to ensure social distancing. Montgomery County Commissioner Val Arkoosh called it a "very welcoming site" and thanked church leaders for working with the county and helping to facilitate the move.

The site will have the same hours as the old Willow Grove site: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from noon to 2 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

It's one of six community coronavirus testing sites organized by Montgomery County, with other locations in Ardmore, Green Lane, Lansdale, Norristown, and Pottstown.
