“I been lacerated. I’ve been, I’ve been cut twice by a knife from, uh, by Candice Phillips. I’m bleeding real bad.” McClinton also told the dispatcher that “I think I might have, uh, artery damage. Uh, it’s squirting out, I’m feeling weak.”

Police found McClinton, 54, lying in a pool of blood in the master bedroom of Apartment H24, according to the DA. A bloody knife was recovered inside the master bedroom from between the bed mattress and box spring.

Officers also observed a large quantity of blood leading from the living room into the master bedroom, according to the DA.

He was transported to Abington Hospital where he died of the wounds after surgery.

On Wednesday, the forensic pathologist reported, “McClinton died as a result of complications of sharp force injuries. The manner of death was ruled homicide.”

McClinton and Phillips lived in the apartment together.

This is the same apartment complex where a father was charged in the death of his 2-month-old child on Feb. 25.
