TOPIC = Â Beyer got enough write-in votes to be on November ballot !
I was surprised I could not find information on this on other sites, but the Morning Call had two [2] articles, but well after the primary election.
Beyer got almost 600 write-in votes, but only needed 300.

Simmons tried a write-in vote also so he could be on both sides of the ballot, but failed.
“ Official final results “ will be determined 06/09/14. So stay tuned !

There are many complexities and legal issues involved so I have attached the articles. You also probably can get them from the archives of the Morning call.
The issue for me was that Beyer graduated from law school so he is a lawyer. However to practice he needs to pass the bar exam and he has not taken it yet. So stating on the application to be on the ballot that he is a lawyer is true. He did not claim he was a  “ practicing “ lawyer.
What is the educational background of Simmons ? I have not been able to find it.
Simmons just won the last time he was elected for a second term. He said he would do something about the LMT quarry issue and I cannot find that he has done anything still.
What are his positions  on the LMT school and other issues ? He has not answered in writing my numerous questions I posted.
Many of us “ old timers “ in LMT remember well how he was first elected in such a controversial way.
Hope of some interest and use.
 Enjoy ! Cheers !
