Fire Tears Through Upper Saucon Home; Crowdfunding Campaign Started for Family

An Upper Saucon family has been displaced after a Tuesday morning house fire.

A fire caused significant damage to an Upper Saucon Township home early Tuesday morning, fire officials said.

Upper Saucon firefighters responded to the report shortly after midnight and had the blaze under control by about 1:30 a.m., according to The Express-Times. Neither the residents nor their six pets were injured in the fire.

A GoFundMe fundraiser, a crowdfunding platform which allows people to raise money for any number of events, was then created by Kristin King to help the family who lost everything, according to the GoFundMe.

“Jason Reasinger and Jenn Hess lost everything in a house fire last night,” the GoFundMe fundraiser created by King said. “They were sleeping but... luckily got out ok!”

Reasinger and Hess lived in the home with their 13-year-old son, four dogs and two cats, the fundraiser said. “We are looking for any help with donations for this family. They left with only the clothing they were wearing,” Kind said in the description.
