John A. 'Jack' Tretter Jr., 76, of Center Valley, died on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013 in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

John A. "Jack" Tretter Jr., 76, of Center Valley, died on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013 in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Dolores M. (Hulko) Tretter, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late John A. and Ethel (Schmoyer) Tretter. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was active in the Southern Lehigh Little League as a manager, coach and volunteer. Jack was employed at Lucent Technologies as a tool maker for 40 years until retiring.
SURVIVORS: Wife; sons: John A. Tretter III and his wife Deborah, and Jeffrey Tretter and his wife Colleen; brother: Dennis Tretter and his wife Sue; sister: Sharon Henahan and her husband Joe; granddaughter: Jennifer Tretter and her companion Ryan Lombardi; and great-granddaughter, Nattalie Lombardi. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dale.
SERVICES: Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014 at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th & Hamilton streets, Allentown. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Emmaus.
