Lovebirds Beware, Aggressive Driving Crackdown Starts Today
Upper Saucon Township police department taking part in aggressive driving campaign.

In a coordinated effort with 300 municipal police departments and the Pennsylvania State Police, officers from the will be on the look out for aggressive drivers.
Starting Feb. 14, Upper Saucon officers will hold aggressive driving enforcement activities on major thoroughfares, like Center Valley Parkway, in addition to other Upper Saucon area roadways. The stepped-up enforcement will end March 27.
Individuals caught speeding, tailgating or driving in other aggressive ways can expect a ticket, according to a press release.

Launched in 2006, the aggressive driving enforcement is a part of the Pennsylvania Aggressive Driving Enforcement and Education Project and is funded by PennDOT and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, according to stopaggressivedriving.org.
During last year’s coordinated enforcement activities, officers wrote out 154,642 aggressive-driving related citations, which included 73,108 speeding tickets.

There were also 36,136 citations for disobeying traffic control devices or signs, 171 felony arrests, 1,683 DUI arrests, and 553 drug-related arrests.
