TEEN HOSTS ANTI-BULLYING WORKSHOPS, BUILDS AND DONATES PUPPET THEATER TO SOUTHERN LEHIGH PUBLIC LIBRARY

Eryn Lynn Somers of Coopersburg recently earned her Girl Scout Gold Award by organizing sock puppet workshops, constructing a puppet theater, and donating workshop kits for students about bullying.

The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award a Girl Scout can earn, and requires the completion of a leadership project of at least 80 hours. Each girl must tackle an issue in the community, connect with experts and community members, and take action to create positive change.

The anti-bullying workshops took place at the Southern Lehigh Public Library, local schools, and community events. During her workshops, Eryn talked about the effects of bullying, how to recognize a bully, and strategies to handle bullying.
