Young Coopersburg Actress plays title role in "Annie"

Jenna Seasholtz is Annie in all weekened performances of the show at Walnut Street Theatre, playing now through January 7

Leapin’ Lizards! ANNIE is coming to the Walnut Street Theatre this holiday season, starring Jenna Seasholtz, a young actress from right outside the Upper Saucon region.

ANNIE is a spunky orphan in 1930s New York City determined to find her parents. In one fun-filled adventure after another, ANNIE foils Miss Hannigan's evil schemes, befriends President Roosevelt and finds a new home with billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace and a lovable mutt named Sandy.

Coopersburg resident Jenna Seasholtz plays the title role in all weekend performances of the musical. She returns to the Walnut after playing a Munchkin in last year’s production of The Wizard of Oz. Seasholtz was recently seen last season at Muhlenberg Summer Music Theatre’s production of Gypsy as Baby June.

Seasholtz has been dancing since she was three years old and performing since she was seven years old. Her first role was Gretl in The Sound of Music and has been performing ever since. Fittingly, the first musical Seasholtz ever saw was Annie, as she’s had her eyes on the iconic role ever since.

Seasholtz is also a member of the Theatre School at Walnut Street Theatre, along with all 25 of her orphan cast-mates.
