Empowering Women Through Government: How and Why?
8th Annual Women's Power Summit

Pennsylvania ranks 49th in the nation for female representation in government. Why is this the case and what can be done about it will be the focus of the 8th Annual Women’s Power Summit on Thursday, October 18 in Jamison, PA. The Power Summit theme is Empowering Women Through Politics: How & Why? The summit is a cooperative effort between the Bucks County Bar Association Women Lawyers Division and the League of Women Voters of Bucks County.
Beginning at 4 PM at the Bucks Club located at 2600 York Road in Jamison, guest panelists will participate In an interactive panel discussion and presentation looking at how this under-representation in Pennsylvania government affects us and our community and how people can get involved to make change. Panelists are Jennifer Herring, C.P.A. and Doylestown Township Supervisor; Kathy Beveridge, President of the Bucks County Women’s Advocacy Coalition; and Kadida Kenner of Why Courts Matter – PA. The presentation will be moderated by Charissa J. Liller, Esq., Chair of the Women Lawyers Division of the Bucks County Bar Association. Lawyers in attendance will be able to earn 1.5 CLE credits.
There will be a cocktail reception following the presentation, running until 7 PM. The cost for attendance for the presentation and cocktail reception is $35. Pre-registration is preferred.
