Free Book Club at BCCC Starts Jan. 8
The free gatherings are open to the public and held on the second Thursday of the month during the academic year.

Bucks County Community College will kick off the 2015 Book Discussion Group on Jan.8. The year starts off with a discussion about The Cost of Lunch, Etc., Marge Piercy’s debut collection of short stories.

The free, informal gatherings are held from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month during the academic year. The meetings are held at the college’s Newtown campus.

Literature professor Michael Hennessey organizes the meetings.
“There’s not much conflict over the titles we choose,” said Hennessey, who has led the group discussions for more than a decade. “We certainly often disagree about the value or worth of some titles and some characters, but it’s always a civil discussion.”
