Free Movie Screening This Friday At Southampton Free Library

There will be a free movie at the Southampton Free Library this Friday, Jan. 26. "Dunkirk" will be screened starting at 2 p.m. It's part of the library's series of Friday Movie Matinees scheduled this winter through March 9.

"Dunkick" stars Fionn Whitehead, Tom Glynn-Carney, Jack Lowden, Harry Styles, James D’Arcy, Barry Keoghan, Kenneth Branagh, Cillian Murphy, Mark Rylance and Tom Hardy. It is rated PG-13 and runs an hour and 46 minutes.

Here's the plot: When 400,000 British and Allied troops end up trapped on the beaches of Dunkirk, France, following a catastrophic defeat, a fleet of civilian boats set out across the English Channel to rescue them before they are decimated by the approaching Nazi forces.

Next week's free movie is "Stronger," starring Jake Gyllenhaal. Other titles to be screened during the free movie series include "Only the Brave," "Marshall," and "Battle of the Sexes."
