Man Arrested For Illegal Attempt To Buy Gun
Lower Southampton Police say the man gave false information when trying to get a firearm at a local gun shop in June.

UPPER SOUTHAMPTON, PA — A man has been arrested after trying to purchase a gun he wasn't legally allowed to possess, according to police.
Police in Upper Southampton say they were contacted by Pennsylvania State Police in August about a purchase attempted at Classic Pistol, at 1310 Industrial Hwy. Detectives learned that Allen Lloyd Wilson, Jr., 30, was legally prohibited from possessing a firearm when he tried to buy a gun on June 12.
They also learned that Wilson provided false information on the required forms when he tried to buy the gun, according to police He surrendered to police on Tuesday, the department said. Judge William J. Benz set bail for Wilson at $5,000, according to court documents.
