Music Icon Prince Settles Lawsuit with Huntingdon Valley Company
Revelations Perfume and Cosmetics was seeking $100,000 in damages after Prince reneged on a deal to promote their products.
Prince had been ordered to pay Huntingdon Valley’s Revelations Perfume and Cosmetics $3.95 million in a lawsuit that claimed the musician broke a contract to market two perfume products from the company.
According to a Bloomberg.com report, the Huntingdon Valley cosmetics company, located at 460 Veit Road, sued the iconic singer Prince Rogers Nelson, also known as Prince, and Universal Music in New York State Supreme Court for reneging on an agreement to help market perfumes using his name and likeness and the name of his 2006 album, “3121.”
After a judge ordered Prince to pay $3.95 million for the company’s out-of-pocket losses in April of 2012, he appealed that ruling. Then, according to a Bloomberg story published last week, both parties agreed to settle out of court.
