Locally-Owned Neighborhood Pet Store Opens in Southampton

Pet Supplies Plus has opened a new franchise location at 488 2nd St Pike in Southampton and will offer local pet parents a hassle-free way to find better products for their pets, while saving them money and celebrating the fun of pet ownership. In addition, the store will offer amenities such as self-serve pet wash stations, pet grooming, and a knowledgeable pet care team.

Pet Supplies Plus is offering neighbors curbside pickup and free same day delivery. Ordering online allows the neighbor to pick their best option. During this time of social distancing, the store is sanitizing on an hourly basis, and will be offering a hand sanitizer station at the entrance of the store with extra masks for customers that are in need.

The store is owned by local entrepreneurs Michelle Lambert and Harry Geaneotes. Michelle and Harry originally met while working at a technology company in 2006. Having worked in both the greater New York and Philadelphia areas, Geaneotes has 20 years of experience in procurement and strategic sourcing, and currently works as a sourcing executive. A Pennsylvania native, Geaneotes was looking to combine his passions of business and animals, as well as give back to his community. For Lambert, who previously held various executive positions in the IT industry, she was also looking to combine her entrepreneurial spirit with her passion for animals. The two did their own research, and both saw Pet Supplies Plus as the ideal option. This is their second Pet Supplies Plus location, with the first opened late last year in Illinois.

As a community partner Lambert and Geaneotes are partnered with local animal shelters, rescue organizations and non-profits to host year-round adoption events, fundraisers and pet food and product drives.

Pet parents are always welcome to shop with their dogs at the store, where knowledgeable team members are on-site to answer questions, offer tips or just get on their hands and knees to play with pets who enter the store.
