SCORE Bucks County to Offer Fall Digital Marketing Series

Beginning on Sept. 21 and continuing bi-weekly through Nov. 16, SCORE Bucks County is offering a comprehensive workshop series program focused on the various facets of digital marketing.

The five-part series is ideal for small business owners and entrepreneurs who recognize the need, but lack the know-how, to incorporate digital strategies to market and grow their business.

“We’re covering the basics,” SCORE Bucks County mentor and Holy Family University digital marketing professor Don Goeltz said of the sessions. “It’s very much focused on ‘this is what you do.’”

The interactive workshops focus on individual topics and are led by experts in each area. Attendees will receive hands-on practice and materials to continue their understanding of the topic. Taken together, the five workshops are a boot camp of sorts on the basics of digital marketing.

The two-hour lunch and learn workshops are geared for beginner-level digital marketers. Topics include:

How to get started in digital marketing – Goeltz will kick off the five-part series on Sept. 21 by explaining why all businesses need a digital presence. He will answer how digital marketing is different and the same as traditional marketing; what are components of a digital marketing plan; and where to start.

How to make your Website work for you – Donna Botti of Delos, Inc., during her Oct. 5 session, will discuss how business owners can use their Website to accomplish business goals. She will share how to organize a Website so visitors find what they are seeking; what kind of content is needed; and how to get site visitors to take action.

Subsequent sessions include, How to get started with email marketing on Oct. 19; How to get started with search marketing on Nov. 2; and How to get started in Facebook marketing on Nov. 16.

SCORE Bucks County’s digital marketing series will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. beginning Sept. 21 and continuing every other week through Nov. 16.
