Deadly Street Road Crash Under Investigation

An 86-year-old man was killed in the crash, which happened Tuesday morning in Upper Southampton.

UPPER SOUTHAMPTON, PA — An 86-year-old man was killed in a two-car crash Tuesday morning on Street Road in Upper Southampton.

Township police say the crash happened at about 9:25 a.m. in front of the True Beauty store at 109 Street Rd. Officers arrived to find the man, who was from Warminster, unconscious and not breathing.

He was given CPR at the scene and transported to Abington Hospital, where he later died, police said.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 20-year-old woman from Doylestown, complained of pain and was taken to St. Mary Medical Center.

The crash, in the westbound lane, shut down Street Road early Tuesday as police and emergency crews worked the scene.

Police were not identifying either driver Tuesday afternoon. They were asking anyone who may have information about the crash to contact Officer Hartranft at shartranft@ustwp.org.
