Southampton Man Stabbed Victim With Steak Knife: Police

UPPER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A Southampton man was arrested Sunday after police say he stabbed another man with a steak knife while the two were sitting inside a parked car.
Upper Southampton Township Police were alerted at 7:01 a.m. that Philadelphia Police were at Aria-Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where a stabbing victim told them he'd been stabbed in Upper Southampton.
According to police, he said he'd been sitting in the back seat of a vehicle parked in the driveway of a home in the 1000 block of Woodbourne Drive when he was stabbed in the chest by Jonathan Michael Soldo, 33, of Southampton.

After a scuffle, which ended outside the vehicle, Soldo left the scene, police said. The victim pulled the knife from his chest and put it in the home's garage. He was then taken to the hospital by a witness who also was in the car at the time of the stabbing, police said.
Police say that witness told them he, the victim and Soldo were sitting in his vehicle when Soldo, who was sitting in the front seat, pulled a steak knife, turned around and stabbed the victim in the chest.

At about 10:24 am., as officers were searching for Soldo, they were called to the area of Nicole Drive and Tina Drive, where they found him walking along the roadway. He was arrested and taken to police headquarters.
At 4 p.m., Soldo was arraigned on charges of criminal attempted homicide, criminal attempted murder, aggravated assault, simple assault, possession of an instrument of crime, prohibited offensive weapons and recklessly endangering another person.
His bail was set at $9 million and he was taken to Bucks County Correctional Facility.
