UPPER SOUTHAMPTON, PA — Police in Upper Southampton are asking for the public's help identifying a van they think was involved in a car break-in at Veterans Field.

Police say that at about 6 p.m. on May 23, a Kia Optima was broken into at the park. The rear driver's side window was broken and a purse that was inside the car was stolen, police say.

Witnesses told officers that they saw a maroon, Dodge minivan circling the parking lot several times before stopping near the Kia. It had darkly tinted windows and out-of-state plates, possibly from Texas, they said.

On Thursday, police shared surveillance video of the minivan in hopes that someone might recognize it.
