Two Bucks County Movie Theaters Seeking To Serve Alcohol

AMC has applied for liquor licenses for its multiplexes at the Neshaminy and Woodhaven malls in Bensalem, reports say.

Two AMC movie theaters in Bucks County are seeking to serve alcohol at their venues, according to a report by the Bucks County Courier Times.

AMC has applied for liquor licenses for its multiplexes at the Neshaminy and Woodhaven malls in Bensalem, the report said.

If AMC gets approval, they would open the newest locations of MacGuffins bars, which serve beer, wine and mixed drinks that can be consumed in theaters.

If approved, it wouldn’t be the first time an AMC movie theater in the region will serve alcohol. The AMC theater at the Plymouth Meeting Mall has a MacGuffins Bar and Lounge. MacGuffins Bar and Lounges are already located in dozens of theaters nationwide, including three in New Jersey.

Bensalem Township Council will consider the proposal at a meeting on Oct. 19, the Courier Times reported.
