The estate was originally built in 1865 by the architect Addison Hutton, according to Historic For Sale. It was commissioned and lived in by William Lockwood, a Philadelphia lawyer and businessman.
Also known as Loch Aerie or Glen-Loch, the design of the landscape was done by Charles Miller, who came to fame as a designer of Fairmount Park.
When originally constructed, the estate was one of the largest in Pennsylvania at 684 acres, according to Historic For Sale.
The home has a total of 6,522 square feet.
Owners turned down a bid of $720,000 for the mansion in 2010, according to the Daily Local News.
