Wilkes-Barre Announces Small Business Emergency Relief Loan Program

The City of Wilkes-Barre has established an Emergency Relief Loan Program to be accessed by existing non-franchised/locally owned small businesses within the City of Wilkes-Barre. The Small Business Emergency Relief Loan Program is available to existing non-franchised locally owned small business projects (1 full-time employee up to 5 full-time employees maximum) that have been completely closed due the COVID-19 pandemic Commonwealth of Pennsylvania mandated shut down and has had to remain closed due to the mandate. The small business must be located within the City of Wilkes-Barre’s limits/boundaries.

Mayor George C. Brown said, “Extending the successful restaurant loan program to other small business will further help to get Wilkes-Barre’s economy back on track .”
