Wilkes-Barre Thanksgiving Holiday Collection Schedule

In Observance of Thanksgiving, Wilkes-Barre City Hall will be closed on Thursday, November 26th and Friday, November 27th and there will be no DPW services on these days. The Thanksgiving weekend schedule for residents in South Wilkes-Barre 2, East End, Parsons & Miners Mills, is as follows:

• Thursday, November 26: NO COLLECTIONS
• Friday, November 27: NO COLLECTIONS
• Saturday, November 28 Garbage collection ONLY for South Wilkes-Barre 2, East End, Parsons, & Miners Mills
• Thursday, December 3: Double Recycling collection for South Wilkes-Barre 2
• Friday, December 4: Double Recycling collection for East End, Parsons, & Miners Mills

Delays in curbside garbage and recycling pickup are possible, as daily Department of Public Works manpower numbers are likely to fluctuate with the rise in positive COVID-19 cases in the City. Residents are asked residents to be patient and empathetic as the City continues to provide waste removal services in a manner that protects the health and wellbeing of its employees.
