This Is The Most Popular Halloween Candy In Rhode Island

Tuesday marks the beginning of October, which means it's time to carve pumpkins, pick out costumes and, of course, load up on Halloween candy. A new study determined the most popular candy in each state and 20 major U.S. cities. According to Bid on Equipment, Rhode Islanders prefer pretzel M&Ms.

According to the study, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are the most popular candy in the country, coming in first place in 12 states. Meanwhile, AirHeads, gummy worms, Nerds and SweeTarts were at the bottom of the list, only taking one state each.

The study went on to say that most Americans spend an average of $25.64 on candy, and more than half of survey respondents believed it would be better to move Halloween to the last Saturday night in October.
