Barrington All-Star Little League On The Road To World Series

The boys defeated Cranston West to win the state championship before overtaking Vermont to clinch a spot in the regional semi-finals.

BARRINGTON, RI — Little Rhody is on the road to the Little League World Series. Barrington's All-Star team won the state championships and is now competing in the New England Regional semi-finals.

The team, made up of boys ages 12 and under, beat Vermont six runs to four on Monday, solidifying their place in the New England semifinal. Their next game will be on Thursday at 1 p.m. against New Hampshire. The game will be broadcasted live on ESPN.

The team clinched the Rhode Island state title on July 24, overtaking Cranston West in a score of 10 to seven. This was the first time Barrington has taken home a state win in decades. In the organization's 68 years, only one other under-12 team has won, nearly half a century ago in 1975.
