Barrington, Bristol, Warren To Hold Monthly Shop Local Event
Businesses from three local towns will join together for "East Bay Community First Thursdays" starting next week.
BARRINGTON, RI — Three Rhode Island towns — Barrington, Warren and Bristol — are coming together for "East Bay Community First Thursdays" to help support local businesses amid the coronavirus crisis.
The program, presented by the East Bay Chamber of Commerce, will hold its first event on Aug. 6 from 5 to 7 p.m.
"We invite you to participate in an informal, walkabout style event sampling local stores and restaurants in the East Bay," the East Bay Chamber said. "Visit participating business, see what's new, or stop in a new business you haven't been to."

The Barrington participating locations are: The Book Nerd, Piccolo Children's Boutique and East Bay Strength and Conditioning.
The Warren participating locations are: The Wharf, Sprout CoWorking, Made in Warren, Uptown Food & Spirits, Time & Place Studio, Rhody Roots and ByWater Restaurant.

he Bristol participating locations are: Thames Waterside, Carons Jewelers, Portside Tavern and The Wave or Anytime Fitness-Bristol.
"First Thursdays was designed to help bring foot traffic back into our loved community businesses, and to help businesses get the exposure that they are open and waiting for you," the Chamber posted on its Facebook page. "Participating businesses may have a special, or fun discounted items for you. We hope you to see you all out and about the First Thursday of every month."
