Barrington East Bay Bike Path Tree Trimming Next Week
Portions of the bike path between Sowams and New Meadow roads while National Grid performs tree trimming next week.
BARRINGTON, RI — Sections of the East Bay Bike Bath in Barrington will be partially closed next week as National Grid conducts tree trimming on the patch.
The work will take two days sometime between Monday and Friday, weather permitting.
The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management said park rangers will be stationed on the bike path to direct the public around the work area. The path will be reopened when the work is completed.

The DEM said that if issues arise that require the closure of the entire bike patch, work will cease and a plan to detour the path will be developed.
