Barrington To Highlight Art In Struggle Vs. Coronavirus

Barrington is asking students and residents to join together for a public Art "Gallery Weekend" at their homes over Memorial Day weekend.

BARRINGTON, RI — Barrington is asking residents to display their creativity and their spirit over Memorial Day weekend as part of the town's Gallery Weekend 2020.

Barrington Public Schools students are asked to display their favorite works of art in their front lawns or on their front doors throughout the weekend so that residents can walk through the neighborhoods and enjoy the talent an beauty of the town's creations.

Adults are encouraged to take part in the gallery weekend as well.

"It is our hope that the work displayed will bring some joy, inspiration and hope during these difficult times," The Barrington Art Department declared on a poster it said it hopes will be printed and displayed next to any gallery submission.
