Barrington Labor Day 2018: What's Open?

BARRINGTON, RI — The kids are already back in school in most Rhode Island towns and although the rest go back next week, they have Monday off for Labor Day. I hope you do too. With temperatures in the high eighties and little chance of rain, it should be a good day for one more summer barbecue with friends and family.
For some of us though work, errands, and life go on. Here's a list of what's open and closed in case you do need to get out of the house:
- Retail Stores - open
- Liquor stores - most are open
- Groceries - most open
- Restaurants - most are open
- Banks - closed
- State offices - closed
- Town offices - closed
- Schools - closed
- Libraries - closed
- RIPTA (bus) - holiday schedule
- Federal offices - closed
- Mail delivery - no
- Trash pickup - one day delay
