Barrington Municipal Buildings Lift Face Mask Requirement

The policy change went into effect on Thursday, June 17.

BARRINGTON, RI — The Town of Barrington has lifted its face mask requirement in municipal buildings, reflecting a shift in the way local officials are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The policy change went into effect on Thursday, June 17 in accordance with state and CDC guidelines and includes the Town Hall, Peck Center, Public Library, Department of Public Works, and Public Safety buildings.

Despite the shift in safety requirements, unvaccinated individuals and children ages 2-12 are still encouraged to wear a mask in all municipal buildings.
