BARRINGTON, RI —Barrington police issued the description of a second man suspected of trying to break into cars in town at night. Police said they have received several reports of the two men trying to gain access to vehicles through checking to see if they are locked.

On Monday, police said the first suspect is tall and was wearing a tan trench coat when caught on video surveillance tape. On Tuesday, police added that a shorter man who was wearing a black vest, beanie cap and hoodie is also being sought.

Police said the thefts were averted because the cars were locked and urged all residents to keep vehicles locked when parked on the street and in driveways.
