Barrington Police Urge Driver Caution During Construction

Barrington police are asking drivers to keep it slow in residential areas as they navigate construction zones.

BARRINGTON, RI — Barrington police are asking drivers to keep it slow and be respectful of neighborhoods as they look to navigate around construction in town. While police said they understand drivers using alternate route to get around work at County Road, Barrington Bridge and Warren Bridge, they added that traffic laws will strictly enforced in residential areas.

"We understand many drivers are using alternate route to get round the back up," Barrington police posted on their Facebook page. "Please be aware that many of these routes are through residential neighborhoods and are 25 (miles-per-hour speed limits)."
