Barrington Police Warn Residents Of Car Prowlers

Barrington police said they have received multiple reports of two men trying to open car doors in town at night.

BARRINGTON, RI — Barrington police are urging residents to keep their vehicles locked and be on the lookout for suspicious activity at night after receiving multiple reports of two men trying to open car doors in town. Police credited the car owners for locking their doors to prevent the thefts.

Police said one of the men was wearing a tan trench coat when trying to enter the cars.

Those with information on this case, or anyone who see anything suspicious, are asked to call Barrington police at 401-413-3930.
