Barrington Resident Opens Little Free Art Gallery In Front Yard
The Little Free Art Gallery on Court Avenue opened on May 31.
BARRINGTON, RI — A Barrington resident has installed a Little Free Art Gallery in her front yard at 4 Court Avenue, giving residents an opportunity to share and enjoy local artwork, reported East Bay Newspapers.
Kira Cortese modeled the display after the Little Free Libraries scattered across the country, where people take or leave a book. Similarly, the Little Free Art Gallery invites people to take or leave a piece of art.
Cortese has been an artist her entire life, taking classes at Rhode Island School of Design and selling her work at Made in Warren Artist Co-op. She is using the Little Free Art Gallery to spread creativity throughout the town and often post pictures of new artwork online.
