"Attached for your use is the approved 2021-2022 BWRSD school year calendar. The calendar identifies 180 days for students with two days identified as both Student Orientation days and state/district staff Professional Development days, as well as four days identified as Distance Learning days for students and State/District Staff Professional Development days. Key details of the calendar are explained below:

First and Last day of school for students:
- First day of school for students - September 7, 2021
- Last day of school for students - June 16, 2022
Orientation/Staff PD days:
- K student orientation day & Statewide/District PD day - September 1, 2021 (Time TBD)
- Grades 6 and 9 student orientation day & Statewide/District PD day - September 2, 2021 (Time TBD)
Distance Learning days for students within the 180 day calendar:
- District PD day - October 27, 2021
- District PD day - February 2, 2022
- Statewide PD day - March 14, 2022
- Statewide PD day - May 11, 2022
Days schools are closed for students:
- Labor Day - September 6, 2021
- Columbus Day - October 11, 2021
- Veteran’s Day - November 11, 2021
- Thanksgiving Recess - November 24-26, 2021
- Winter Recess - December 23-31, 2021
- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - January 17, 2022
- February Recess - February 21-25, 2022
- Spring Recess - April 15-22, 2022
- Memorial Day - May 30, 2022"
