Barrington Schools said a letter was sent to students and staff who were exposed to the support staff member who tested positive.

BARRINGTON, RI — The Rhode Island Department of Health has informed Barrington Public Schools that "a few of our students and staff" were exposed to a positive case of coronovirus. The announcement came on the same day Barrington Superintendent of Schools Michael Messore sent a letter to the school community informing it of a school support staff member who has a confirmed case of the virus.

Messore said a letter was sent to the families of students who were believed to have been exposed to a person who tested positive.

"We are unable to provide specific details regarding the individual, in compliance with state and federal regulations protecting the privacy and health records of individuals," said Messore said.
