Home Alone Safety Course For Kids In Barrington
Course for middle school-aged children will focus on actions to take in an emergency, cyber safety and cyber bullying.
BARRINGTON, RI — An upcoming three-hour course in Barrington is aimed at helping teach middle-school students what to do in the case of an emergency. Barrington Recreation is presenting "Home Alone Safety: A Safety Course For Kids" with the help of Mobile Medical Training.
The course is recommended for children ages 10 through 13 and includes instruction on general safety, activity to take in an emergency, cyber safety, cyber bullying, elements of first aid and fire safety. The interactive course is taught by registered nurses with the goal of teaching creative-thinking skills in a fun, relaxed learning environment.
The course will be held in the Barrington Middle School Grade 6 breakout room on March 3 from 6 to 9 p.m. For more information, go here.
