Sine Nomine choral ensemble celebrates the 100th anniversary of Rachmaninoff’s beloved choral setting, Vespers, in a one-night-only concert event with Joseph Fort directing. The concert will be held at St. Lawrence, Martyr Church in New Bedford, MA on Friday, May 15 at 8:00. This majestic work premiered in Moscow in 1915, and has been called one of the greatest musical achievements of the Russian Orthodox Church. Sine Nomine is very excited to have several of the areas finest choral singers joining as guests to make this concert one of the biggest events in the choir’s history. Among them is Sine Nomine’s founding director, Glenn Giuttari, who has returned to join the bass section for this concert. Mike Abrahamson, lead cantor at St. Michael Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Woonsocket RI will be singing as well.

Sine Nomine is an auditioned chamber choir which draws its members from southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
